Gloucester Docks Heritage Interpretation Plan
This involved a comprehensive review of the significance of Gloucester Docks and its cultural, architectural and archaeological resources. Widespread consultation was carried out with stakeholders and recommendations were made on how to revitalise the visitor destination through a programme of events. Recommendations were made on the use of public art as waymarkers and to celebrate a sense of place and integrate the historic environment with the redisplayed National Waterways Museum. A strategy and costed action plan was devised to make linkages and referral between the historic docks, city centre and new out of town shopping centre development. For South West Regional Development Agency. With Ian Parkin.
